that was all it took for Jesus to heal peter’s mother-in-law. He extended his hands, took hers and she was healed. physically speaking, this was no great exertion. but His simple gesture, coupled with the power of God, made a huge difference in her life. we may never know the severity of her illness, she may have recovered in a week or so, or it may have been a much more serious condition. whichever it may have been, that work of God in her life has an instant reaction.

in response to God’s work in her life, peter’s mother-in-law begins to serve. it was, and continues to be the natural reaction to the saving work of God. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, then no one should even have to tell you what to do. based in love, and done from a cheerful and thankful heart, service should just flow forth.
