it is no surprise that we need help from God.

our best efforts will fall flat every time.

but God has taken steps to make sure that we can live a life that honors Him in every way possible. He sent john to prepare the way for Jesus, to prepare the hearts of the people, to point them toward God. their religion of self had left them stranded. adrift in a sea of self reliance. that sea is a popular destination for all of us today.

we set sail every morning in our own boats, plotting our own course & daily going nowhere.

why?| why? | why? | why? | why?

when will we learn? when will we get the hint? when will we see that there is nothing that we do that will earn us a special place in God’s presence?

the Word of God is fruitful and true.

the Spirit of God is comforting and an honest leader.

the Father Himself is righteousness, honor and perfection.

wake up, church! quit trying to live this life for yourself, convincing yourself through purposeful rationalization that your course is best. honor God with your lives as a true sacrifice, not with a half-hearted resignation.

wake up, church! God loves you, love Him back…
