“Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with the saving might of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.”
Psalm 20:6-8 ESV
Father, that we would never out our trust in what we can see and lay hands on, or what we can control and command, but instead, that our trust would rest solely and wholly in You and Your Name.
“What shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord,
I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.”
Psalm 116:12-14 ESV
It is through Your grace and mercy that I can lift this Passover cup of salvation, that I can take part in Your righteousness. I am sinful, I am broken, I am selfish and prideful. But You, Father, save me from myself.
“Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power.”
Psalm 21:13 ESV
Because You, and only You are worthy of praise. Our deeds are temporary and tainted by sin. Anything good that comes from us must be because of Your handiwork in us, and not of our own doing. So, be exalted, Lord! We praise You and You alone!
“The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
“The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” (Psalm 110:1, 4 ESV)
Prophesied by your servant David about Your Son, You promised to move in your justice and to exalt Him as our Great High Priest. You have accounted for Your justice and Your grace in our savior, Jesus. He served as both priest and sacrifice, giving Himself for us, and in that we continue to give you praise!
“The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.”
Psalm 110:2, 3 ESV
Reign, Father, reign Jesus! Reign over all!
Reign, Holy Spirit, within us, and glorify Yourself!
“Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.”
Psalm 116:5-7 ESV
Thank You, Father, for dealing so well with me.
Thank You for you mercy, Your preservation and Your saving work.
You are good.
“Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 117:1, 2 ESV
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
Jude 1:20-25 ESV
